Santa visits with resident Walter Uhorchak.

On Christmas Day 2017, Santa (Brian Jeffery, youngest son of Dorothy Jeffery, activity director) visited Life Care Center of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Santa brought stockings full of presents for residents and handed them out one by one to each resident in the facility.

One resident was so happy to see him she said, “Santa, I promise I have been good all year.”

Another resident, Walter Uhorchak, quoted to Santa from “A Christmas Carol”: “Any idiot who goes about with ‘Merry Christmas’ on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart.” Then Uhorchak told Santa how three visions appeared (Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas future) and he changed his mind.

“The hugs and signs of affection the residents gave Santa were breathtaking,” said Dorothy Jeffery.

Brian Jeffery is 23 years old and has been playing Santa for Life Care on Christmas Day for three years now, volunteering his Christmas to share joy with the elderly.
